WHAT IS STRUCTURED AUTHORITY? A SHORT INTRODUCTION!

By arranging data in a standardised and consistent manner, structured authoring facilitates the management, repurposing, and publication of content across various platforms and formats. The idea behind it is to divide content into more manageable, modular parts—such as topics, elements, and attributes—that can be used again in different situations. Markdown, DocBook, and DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture) are popular standards for structured authoring. Structured authoring is supported by tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, Oxygen XML Editor, and others that offer features for structuring and modifying structured content. Content consistency and usability are improved by structured authoring in addition to increasing the effectiveness of content creation and maintenance.
